Brad Pitt: Marriage is something Angelina Jolie and I may have to consider -only for the kids

Written By CBAworld on Monday, May 30, 2011 | 11:53 AM

Nevermind curious fans constantly asking "will they or won't they," Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's children want to know when the superstar couple is finally going to tie the knot.
"The kids ask about marriage. It's meaning more and more to them," the "Tree of Life" star reveals to USA Weekend.
Despite past declarations Pitt, 47, and Jolie, 35, have made about not marrying until gay people can do so legally, the couple may be having a change of heart.

"It's something we've got to look at," Pitt admits.
Though a wedding may still be in the distant future, the actor and his longtime partner make a point to carve out some alone time from their brood: Maddox, 9, Zahara, 6, Pax, 7, Shiloh, 5, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 2.
"There are no secrets at our house," he says. "We tell the kids, 'Mom and Dad are going off to kiss.' They go, 'Eww, gross!' But we demand it."
And while he recently admitted to loving the "chaos" of having a big family, Pitt makes sure they maintain a sense of order in their lives.
"On the road, we're a military mobile unit," he states. "The kids have got their stuff down to one backpack, and they're each responsible for their own bag. Mom does the packing; she's quite gifted at that. Puts in just what we need – nothing extra."
The globetrotting family travels between the multi-house Los Angeles compound he calls their "base camp" and international film sets. They also often spend their downtime at a 1,000-acre estate in southern France.
"We're pretty nomadic," he remarks. "We go where the crops are."
Pitt acknowledges that his family life "seems a bit extreme," but says, "I like extremes. I guess I've always operated that way."
But despite their unique circumstances, the fun never dies down for the Pitt-Jolie kids.
"Angie and I do everything we can to carve out some semblance of normalcy for them, to re-create the kinds of moments that were special for us," the actor says. "It's not unusual for the kids to be covered in paint. We have mud fights. It's chaos from morning until the lights go out, and sometimes after that."
And despite feeling "hunted" by the pesky paparazzi, Pitt chooses to see the positive in being a part of one of Hollywood’s most famous families.

"Our kids have to live behind a gate. Outside, there are people with cameras," he said. "But I'll take the trade-off. I never knew I was capable of experiencing so much love."
